Are you afraid to speak your mind despite knowing the truth?
Cancel culture has been so popular, people are weaponized for voicing their opinion.
People are basically punished for having a different perspective.
But what happens when cancel culture takes over the medical field?
In a world where providers are now afraid of clinical discussions because of the fear of being fired or hated by colleagues, how are they going to fight for their patients?
Welcome to episode 31 of Rebel By Design! In this episode, I’m speaking with licensed clinical social worker Pamela Garfield-Jaeger.
We are discussing how cancel culture has affected many people not just online but even in the real world.
We are opening up a conversation about the fear and stigma that comes along with speaking out about pseudo “taboo topics” like gender identity and COVID policies. Also, Pamela encourages us to be bold and speak up- even when it’s difficult to.
In this conversation, we urge you to be bold and speak up for the truth.
Enjoy the show!!

The American Academy of Pediatrics’ newly released guidelines surrounding childhood obesity has sparked a huge debate amongst mental health professionals in the online space.
While the treatment of childhood obesity and the medicalization of children with gender dysphoria or gender identity issues may seem like two distinct issues, there are some obvious parallels between them.
And, it begs the question- What are the long-term physical and mental health implications of such heavy-handed medical treatments on our children?
Welcome to episode 30 of Rebel By Design! In this episode, I’m speaking with licensed clinical social worker, coach, consultant, and return guest: Teva Johnstone.
We are discussing how it is essential to consider the ideological worldviews behind this debate, and to remember that the goal is to accept our bodies and ourselves.
Again, cancel culture is undoubtedly playing a huge part in this debate.
In this conversation we urge you to focus on the soul, not just the physical- so we can create a positive environment for ALL children to feel safe, loved, and accepted.

Do you find that the people who want to abolish binary thinking are the ones holding on to their own limited beliefs in order to avoid even considering differing perspectives?
Do you feel like we live in a world that is constantly trying to blur the lines of gender identity and race, and we aren't allowed to say how we feel or be honest without being hurtful to somebody else?
The world is full of people who feel like they can't speak their mind because they're afraid of hurting someone else's feelings. But the truth is that voicing non mainstream points of view is the only way to move the discussion forward.
Welcome to episode 29 of Rebel By Design! In this episode, I’m speaking with educator, author and content creator: Ezenwanyi Ugbor.
In our conversation, we delve into gender identity politics, racism, and how the language we use around these topics matters.
Ezenwanyi is speaking up even though it’s not politically correct or convenient - but it is honest.
Because, If no one speaks up, then nothing will change.

What happens when staying silent is more difficult than speaking out about difficult but important topics?
Sharing a unique viewpoint within today’s cancel culture climate feels like you’re taking a giant risk- particularly when speaking about gender identity politics.
But, what if creating an untouchable group of people is actually dehumanizing and a complete disservice to everyone?
Welcome to episode 28 of the Rebel By Design podcast! In this episode, I’m speaking with licensed clinical social worker, coach, and consultant: Teva Johnstone.
Teva and I discuss why cancel culture needs to stop, and how speaking out about gender theories shouldn’t be a career-ending act.
Today, we share how wellness always comes from within, and hope that our courage to speak out is contagious!
Enjoy the show!!

Is social media not “the real world”?
What if you’re an online entrepreneur and rely on these platforms to engage with your audience regularly?
If you’ve ever gone back and forth with someone online and wondered where the ability to have a civil disagreement has gone, you’ll love this conversation!
Welcome to episode 26 of the Rebel By Design podcast! In this episode, I’m chatting with Kayla Perry. Kayla has a background in clinical psychology and is currently a behavior analyst- who is unafraid to share her “against the grain” perspectives and worldviews online.
In this conversation, we discuss how she got canceled, and how saying “controversial” things out loud that most people keep to themselves is both freeing and terrifying.
We are taking a deep dive into all things social media cancel culture, the ability to have a conversation that isn't reduced to name calling, and questioning all the social grandstanding in the name of social justice that is going on online.
So, get brutally honest and speak your truth, because cancel culture is toxic!

Do you trust your business to survive and thrive if it comes up against getting canceled?
Welcome to the life of an entrepreneur! It can be riddled with anxiety and growth- but ultimately it can be exhilarating!
Welcome to the Rebel By Design podcast! In this episode, I’m sharing my conversation with Rachel Goodman! She is an intuitive eating and food freedom dietitian, who also mentors professionals in finding freedom in their business!

Is what’s going on in the online space a social justice movement or online bullying in disguise?
Is our support of other human beings really being reduced to one or two perspectives they express and 140 characters?
These days if you voice your opinion online and it’s different from the status quo, you’re basically told not to exist, or that you’re taking up too much space. Self-censorship isn’t any way to live life.
Welcome to episode 24 of the Rebel By Design podcast! In this episode, I’m chatting with podcaster, writer, and Instagram and Tiktok content creator: Kenzie Brenna.
Kenzie and I talk about why cancel culture is toxic, online diet space, clapping back and deciding that different opinions deserve to be heard- even if it feels uncomfortable.
There is a lot that can be uncovered if we allow ourselves to sit in discomfort.
We don’t have all the answers or solutions, and our discussion points out that telling someone else to be silent isn’t helpful in amplifying other voices.
There’s a way for all voices to be heard and have a seat at the table. But it’s not by removing seats- it’s by making the table longer.
Enjoy the show!!
